Tembi & Karis

Tembi and Karis are the best of friends. They enjoy playing, creating their own stories, climbing trees and coloring pictures; pretty normal activities for two dynamic little Canadians that live full time in Malawi. Remember to pray for them to remain healthy, to enjoy all God's creation and to make an impact on the lives of the children they meet.

Some days the hot African sun just calls you to the Lake of Stars—also known as Lake Malawi—for a day or two. Tembi and Karis enjoy being able to try new things with dad.

Tembi is a compassionate young lady who declared that this year she wanted to NOT argue with her parents. Well done, Tembi! Mom and dad really appreciate all your efforts.

She has happily completed second grade at the African Bible Colleges Christian Academy in Lilongwe. She actively assists mom and dad with handing out Bags of Hope.

She is a fantastic swimmer and a wiz at math. She loves to read Archie comics and play with her cat named Cheddar Cheese. Tembi is a talented singer and is doing well in piano lessons.

Karis enjoys helping out so much. She wrote that this year she wanted to help the poor people of Malawi because so many are starving. We have really noticed the girls opening their eyes and heart to the needs of the people that they live amongst.

In this photo, she and dad are handing out much needed blankets, clothes and soaps to vulnerable children at one of our Feeding Stations.

Karis enjoys reading Archie comics and other books, watching DVD’s and riding her bike. She likes to pray at school and remembers many of you in her prayer requests.
