Prayer Requests
Missionaries need intercessors more than admirers. They need prayers more than donors. They live and work in the enemy's territory and become the special object of Satan's attack. Support your missionaries by praying for them.

Current Prayer Needs
- Visiting teams from Canada begin arriving in April; pray that we are effective in meeting some of the needs we come into contact with in Malawi.
- For the Bags of Hope program that as it expands and we have more villages and schools available to us that we would be able to recognize the areas of greater need and begin there.
- Pray for the New Hope School that we are assisting, a new preschool that has opened up at one of the feeding stations. Pray for God's blessing and success on this school, the teachers and the students.
- Pray for protection for our family, especially during the night hours.
- Pray for Wes and Lorrie to be strong in their personal faith and that they grow in relationship with the Lord.
Most Recent
Our most recent news and prayer requests include:
- Pray for Wes as he moves up and down throughout the country preaching and teaching the word of God. That he would be timely and direct dealing with real issues that face real people right now.
- Pray for Lorrie as she is helping to establish two people in business; one selling vegetables and one as a tailor. Pray that these businesses would be successful.
- Pray for Tembi and Karis in school as the complete grade four. That they would have good friends, that they would work hard and that they would be committed to all that life in Africa demands.
Continuing Needs
- Please fervently uphold the Jonat family and pray for God's almighty spiritual protection. Wes and Lorrie are relentlessly engaged in the battle of transforming lives for the Kingdom of God and the enemy doesn't like that at all.
- Please pray that the Lord would protect the Jonats from any physical harm and would bless them with energy and vitality to do the work He has called them to.
- The Jonats do not work alone—they have a team both in Malawi and throughout Canada and the United States. Please pray for unity, that all would be of one accord for the sake of the gospel. Pray for those who are currently preparing for, or are on a short- term missions trip—pray that they would be a blessing to the Jonats and the country of Malawi bringing encouragement and support. Pray for our financial partners that God would bless them as they assist us and enable us to live and work amongst the people of Malawi.
- Pray for what is happening in ACOP Malawi, with the Orphan Feeding Centers and Bags of Hope, pray for the Lord's clear guidance and vision for the future.
- Pray for Tembi and Karis—pray for God's continued blessing and protection over the girls (birth date: Nov. 16, 1999). Pray that they would grow more in love with the Lord as they recognize that they too are called of God as missionaries in a foreign land. Especially pray for their physical, spiritual and emotional protection.
- Pray for Wes and Lorrie's marriage to remain strong, that they would prefer each other in love and uphold each other as they work and minister together.
- Pray for the Lord's favor—that God's hand would go before them in all they do and prepare a way for them. Pray for discernment for the Jonats in all that they do—that they would have the mind of Christ dealing with the issues they face.
